Beets Cafe in Austin, Texas!!!

I know it's been quite some time since I've posted, but life has been busy! I'm sure you can all relate!! Blogging can be a second job and take over your life if you let it!! I also like to keep up on our family blog so I've tried not be too absent from that one!!

Anyway, I wanted to share with you a crazy amazing raw food cafe in Austin, Texas. I was there back in April for a work conference and made sure to visit this little cafe called, "Beets Cafe." I walked about 30 minutes to get to it, which was amazing because it was warm and the sun was shining. It was very easy to find, but not super close to downtown. And of course walking to it lead me straight by the Whole Foods Market. I stopped there after my meal to stock up on goodies for my room!!

I took quite a few pictures of the cafe and the food, but when I returned home, realized somehow they'd been deleted. I was super bummed! I did happen to find two of them so I wanted to share them with you.

Asian Style Noodle Salad
Typically I wouldn't order a salad at a raw food restaurant because they are more typical in our food culture. I usually like to try the things that I wouldn't easily make on my own or don't get very much. When I saw someone with this salad though, I couldn't resist. It was AMAZING!!!!
Nori Rolls
I also really enjoyed the Nori Rolls. They are completely vegetarian with no fish in them but they were so fresh tasting!!! The sauce was delicious as well. A bit thicker than a typical soy sauce and I really could've drank it!!!

So, if you are ever in Austin, I highly recommend that you try out Beets Cafe!!! The link is below!!

Raw Food in Seattle

Personally this is just as appealing to my eyes as it is to my taste buds!! I had started this post back in October of 2012 and realized I never finished it!

Seattle scenery!

I took a cab across town to find this place and it was SO worth it!!!
Pure Heaven!!!

This is what I ordered and it was amazing!!!

Taco shells were really good and so was the salsa.

I love sprouts on my salad!

If you're ever in Seattle I highly recommend this little cafe! It gets quite crowded so don't go if you're on a tight time schedule!

Green Juice

Green Juice

I made this juice the other day and it was AMAZING! I even took a huge jar to work to share it with a couple of co-workers, who also thought it was delicious. I used the ingredients below plus about 5 apples.
1 bunch of lacinato Kale
2 celery stalks
half of a large cucumber
1 whole lemon
1 medium bunch of parsley
5 apples (I usually use braeburn)
